Liposuction for Cellulite, a brief introduction
It’s the instant results of liposuction that attracts us. No longer gazing in the mirror week after week to see if there is any kind of progress, no more ten-week regimes – just whoosh! and it’s gone. So is lipo treatment actually the solution for cellulite?
One thing is for certain: you will definitely notice a big difference immediately after the lipo procedure. Cosmetic surgeons have taken out as much as three litres of body fat in one treatment, resulting in the bottom or upper thighs measuring quite a few inches less. But it’s costly, definitely not devoid of risk or discomfort, and does not get rid of all your cellulite – especially because it doesn’t deal with the root cause of it. Simply because it takes fat out of your body and some of that fat is cellulite, you will probably have a reduced amount of cellulite. Therefore in a way it’s basically a radical and immediate form of weight reduction – you may well go from possessing a size 14 bottom with cellulite to possessing a size 12 bottom with cellulite.
If you’re thinking about liposuction, get down to your ideal weight first. As cellulite is a form of fat, if you lose surplus bodyweight some of your cellulite will go with it. Once you’ve got down to your ‘fighting weight’ you can reassess your cellulite to see if you can deal with the leftover dimples with a more drastic form of remedy.
Women who are really pear-shaped, so that their lower half is out of proportion with their top half, are most likely to gain from liposuction to improve their cellulite. That is those of us which, if we’re fearless enough to purchase a bikini, are tempted to exchange the bottom piece for one or two sizes larger.
For these unlucky females, no matter how much they diet and exercise, the bottom heavy shape will still keep on being. Their bodies are merely genetically predisposed to hang on to fat below the waist. Women with this shape have been known to end up with hollow cheekbones and a boney chest while their bottoms – though diminished from dieting and beautifully shaped from exercise – would still make Jennifer Lopez proud. And, if they are also genetically cellulite- prone, perhaps since they have higher levels of oestrogen, those bottoms will still be dimply. If they can’t just glory in being a J-Lo shape and accept that cellulite goes with the territory, then liposuction treatment can at the very least decrease the actual dimensions of their bottom half and give their figures more of a balanced hour-glass shape. In decreasing the actual quantity of excess fat, liposuction will probably cut down the actual amount of cellulite, basically because you are going to end up with a smaller bottom and/or slimmer thighs. But some cellulite will still remain, and if you put on weight it is likely to increase again. However, being more in proportion may be worth it.
Hour-glass or pear? Only you can decide.
