New Cellulite Gene Test

Currently, it is estimated that about 90% of all women have the risk of developing cellulite – a condition arguably based on genetics. It is commonly said that once you get cellulite, it is difficult to completely get rid of it – you can only reduce the cellulite, but it will still exist. Thus, if you have yet to develop cellulite, then it would probably be a good idea to take a genetic test.

DermaGenoma, a California, U.S. based firm that created the test, just requires a simple cheek swab after which it can go ahead and tell whether or not you are at risk of developing cellulite. This test can then be used to implement a specific diet/exercise routine which can effectively prevent cellulite from occurring in your lifetime.

Though this innovation seems particularly intriguing, it is worth noting that it is yet to be time tested. As stated on the company’s website, “A patient who tests positive for the ACE variant has approximately a 70% chance of developing moderate to severe cellulite.” Whereas “A patient who tests negative for the ACE variant has approximately a 50% chance of not developing moderate to severe cellulite.” Perhaps these te3sts are not yet finite, but for those interested, checking out the following link may be worth checking out CelluliteDX.
