SmoothShapes Laser Cellulite Cure Raises Funding
A sci-fi solution to an age-old problem could be in your local beauty salon in the coming years as Eleme Medical Inc manage to raise $6.5M of funding to help in the development of their SmoothShapes product.
The SmoothShapes system uses laser technology, as well as conventional massage, to combat cellulite. The system uses two laser wavelengths to bombard the skin surface and break down the fat in a process known as photothermolysis and this award winning technology has received a boost to help in its’ expansion across the United States and international markets with this funding.
According to the company website, a two week course of the SmoothShapes treatment can lead to a substantial improvement in the visible appearance of cellulite. This claim is further supported in several independent reviews, some of which which even pointed to a significant decrease in the size of the thigh.
