Three Cellulite Busters
On the road to beating Cellulite, there aren’t many shortcuts. But you can improve your chances by using these three great tips:
Menthol
Try rubbing a menthol gel into your cellulite areas. Menthol can help to increase the blood circulation in the skin (see ‘How To Get Rid Of Cellulite’) as well as firming the surface which can help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Gently massage into a cellulite spot and enjoy the cooling effect which will constrict and tone the skin.
Relaxing With Yoga
Stress is a common cause of cellulite, due to the release of the Cortisol hormone. Having a yoga session a couple of times each week can really aid in controlling stress, not to mention the beneficial exercise and toning that it gives. You don’t have to join a class to do it either, as many video sites have quality instructional guides. Here’s one to help you get started:
Don’t Eat Too Much In The Evenings
One common mistake many of us make is the timing of our meals. In the UK and US especially we often eat relatively-modest lunchtime portion and a much larger evening meal, often followed by a desert or snack afterwards. This is a real mistake as a large meal may take several hours to digest, and if eaten in the evening will often be still in the digestive system when we’re asleep. The trouble with this is that we do not give our body the opportunity to use the calories we’ve taken on board and force it to store them as fat.
Over time, this behaviour can result in unnecessary weight gain and larger fatty deposits than our diet would normally deserve.
Try to eat your largest meal during the day, at lunch. This gives the body ample time to digest and then have a smaller meal in the evening. If you must eat the larger meal in the evening, perhaps because you don’t have the time during the day to eat a main meal, try to eat as early as possible. Even a shift of one hour earlier can make a considerable difference over time.
